Where We Travel

We're based at 10809 Prospect Ave, Santee, CA 92071, and most of our calls stay inside a tight ring around that address. Eucalyptus Hills is three miles out, Bostonia and Winter Gardens are four, Lakeside sits at five, and Granite Hills and Casa de Oro-Mount Helix are six. We also run jobs out to Rancho San Diego and Crest at eight miles, and we'll go as far as Harbison Canyon, Lemon Grove, or La Presa when the schedule allows. Jamul, Bonita, Alpine, Ramona, National City, and the coastal names - Fairbanks Ranch, San Diego Country Estates, Coronado, Rancho Santa Fe, Del Mar, Solana Beach - are on the far edge of what we'll drive for, so call first if you're out that way and we'll tell you straight whether it makes sense for your job.

San Carlos and Scripps Ranch are close too, about five miles southwest and west-northwest of the shop, and we treat those the same as any close-in call. The mild temperate climate out here means we're not fighting snow load or hard freezes, so most of what pulls us out to a house is wear, not weather - old hardware finally giving out after years of regular use.

Who You Are Dealing With

Call 619-467-1118 and you talk to someone who can tell you what's likely wrong before a truck even leaves the shop - a dead opener board sounds different from a snapped torsion spring, and most homeowners can describe the symptom well enough for us to guess right. We work out of the Prospect Ave address rather than a call center, so the person answering knows the job board.

We don't do everything. We don't stock custom glass or carved wood doors, so if that's what you've got, expect a longer wait while we source the part - we'll tell you that up front instead of letting you find out on install day. We also won't talk you into a full door replacement when a spring, a cable, or a bent roller will get the job done for less. If a repair isn't worth the money against a new door, we'll say so, and we'll say why.

What We Actually Do

A lot of the housing stock in this part of San Diego County went up between 1967 and 1992, with the typical house dating to around 1976 across the 22 areas we cover. That means a fair share of the doors we touch are original torsion-spring setups or early replacements on aging track - not the newer extension-spring models you'd find in houses built in the last decade. We fix broken torsion and extension springs, replace worn cables and rollers, straighten or swap bent track, and diagnose openers that run but won't lift, or lift but won't stay down.

We also handle full door and opener replacement when the existing hardware is past the point of patching, and panel swaps when one section takes a hit but the rest of the door is sound. Given the age of the housing stock in a lot of these neighborhoods, we see a steady run of hardware that's simply reached the end of its service life rather than failed from damage.
